If fruit bomb is your style this wine rips it. It pours in a thick, glass staining inky purple that coats the glass. Dark fruit on the nose with little to no oak. This wine has balance with nice acidity and a 30-45 second finish. Mouthfeel is great and really hits all partsd of the pallete. I opened this and let decant in bottle for about 4 hours and I can honmestly say I feel no alcohol even though this is 15%. Seek this out if you like structured fruit bombs I really think you will enjoy this. Cheers.

Had this wine for my birthday. Decanted for about an hour. In my opinion its an old world style. Didnt find this to be a fruit bomb but instead thought it had more bordeaux style balance and restrain. Dark fruit on both the nose and pallete with nice acidity and bitter chocolate on the end. Expected this wine to have a longer finish than it did. (maybe 15 seconds). However I did enjoy the wine but if you are into more of fruit bomb style then I recommend the regular Justin Cabernet Sauvignon.

  • 2006 Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon Rockaway

I am currently on a spanish wine bender and was looking for a tempranillo. A worker there recommended I try the rockaway. Even though I am trying to shift from fornia he said he weould give me the bottle for $30 from $50. Sold. Took this home and decanted for 2 hours. This wine smells great. tons of dark fruit and not oaky at all. This has great mouthfeel and az nice finish. my only qualm is that personally I thought it was a bit hot on the finish at 15.4% alcohol. However its not over the top sweet and I wouldnt havew regretted paying full pricde for this wine. Reminded me alot of CLIO from Jumilla. However I thoguht the CLIO was better balanced. Cheers.
