10/14/2017 5:02:00 PM - PS....we've actually toyed with going on it again for my retirement gift to myself. It is that over the top. When they say "it's the trip of a lifetime" they aren't kidding.

10/14/2017 5:00:00 PM - Wojo here's the info on the winery but they are right in the midst of the Mt. Veeder fire right now so out of contact. VGS Château Potelle 1200 Dowdell Lane St. Helena, CA 94574 phone (707) 255-9440 fax (707) 963-3031 Good luck getting on the trip! Cost is about 13-14,000 Euro but so worth it!

10/13/2017 7:26:00 PM - Wojo....he is not doing a tour in '18 as he is writing a book and his '19 trips are sold out. He has a few openings left for '20. You can contact him at VGS/Chateau Potelle. It is nice to get on his waiting list for a trip as there is almost always one couple who bows out at the last minute forfeiting their deposits, which are substantial. It is a VERY expensive trip for two. But it is more than worth it. It is all-inclusive once you get to France. You do not open your wallet the entire week. You will never forget it.

10/12/2017 7:36:00 PM - Wojo, it was our first trip. Went with Jean Noel Fourmieux the owner and winemaker of Chateau Potelle/VGS in Napa. The most educational wine experience I could ever have hoped to have. Def the trip of a lifetime. If you scroll back in my tasting notes a bit you will come across a 10 day run of just French wines. That was THE trip! Angelus, Margaux, Latour, Leoville Poyferre, Bechevelle, Giraud, Lalande, Pontet Canet, you name it, we drank it. In spades. Highly recommend it. He's booked up until the '20 trip.

10/12/2017 7:05:00 PM - Hello Wojo.....good to be friends. Former Atlanta GSU grad here. Just came off the trip of a lifetime to Bordeaux. Napa, if the flames will stop, and anything is left standing, pending for Christmas and Italy, maybe some Sassacaia next summer. Life is getting short. Gotta enjoy the good stuff! Cheers! Mark

1/14/2017 12:26:00 PM - Agreed. Just had a great dinner @ Babbo in NYC with several 2006 Sassicaia's. Everyone loved it.
