Straw colored. Nose is heavy on grapefruit. Nice balance between the sweetness of the fruit and the acidity. We paired this with a pasta carbonara...homemade. It was an excellent combination! With the richness of the food, it was countered nicely with the wine. Medium bodied wine with a solid finish. Also, paired it with my homemade cheesecake. Again, an excellent combination! we have purchased other wines from this producer, and have met the family personally at numerous wine tastings. Wines do not disappoint. PURA VIDA

Cherry vanilla with a menthol presence on the nose. Deep cherry color. Light to Medium bodied. Short finish. Decanted 1/2 hour the night before and we each had a glass. It was tight and needed to open up so we recorked and finished the bottle the next day. By then, the tannins had softened. Overall an okay wine. Low price point. Decent wine for the price PURA VIDA

Decanted for 2 hours. We have submitted tasting notes on this bottle before. Nose still has cherry and vanilla tones. Medium bodied. Smooth tannins with a medium finish. At this price point and quality, it is our everyday wine. We have recently tried the 2010 and we like the 2009 a lot more. In fact, we are buying up as much of the 2009 when we find it. PURA VIDA!
