    3/29/2013 1:42:00 PM - Hi there. Am glad you enjoyed your first taste of champagne. Pol Roger is an excellent start as generally it is made of roughly equal quantities of the 3 major grapes allowed in champagne. Could I recommend trying different champagnes with different grape proportions to identify which style you prefer. Eg Moët & Chandon is predominately black grapes (Pinot Noir & Pinot Mineur) whilst Taittinger has more Chardonnay. Personally,I prefer Blanc de Blancs (100% Chardonnay) or champagnes with a higher perportion of Chardonnay in their blends as I find these more elegant. Take care.
