2/9/2017 12:17:00 PM - Yes!! Well actually I'm from Ellsworth...but I'm working in Bangor. If you and your hubby ever come home for a bit, please drop me a line. We'll pull some fun wines out of the cellar for the two of you.

2/5/2017 10:10:00 AM - Looks like you have fun with wine...and like bubbles. Two essential qualities in my book. Looking forward to more notes...

3/13/2016 8:36:00 AM - Hi! I noticed "backwoods of Maine" in one of your TNs.....which part? I'm from Portland - which I think only qualifies as "front woods"....? :)

8/18/2015 5:50:00 PM - Hey Partylikeakennedy: Thanks for becoming a fan. We are returning the privilege! "tastes like bug butts"? We like it, but we only have tasted "fried" bug butts...and the rest of the body. As such, we are keen to learn ;-) Both Petrus and Screaming Eagle worthy to try and then to move on from their labels to cases of excellent wine at the same price as one bottle! Keep on f$#king cursing ;-)

7/20/2015 4:25:00 PM - thanks for replying, I know what you're saying but I've had quite reasonable results with a couple of Bordeaux cheapies - the 2000 Belgrave and the 2004 Senejac both picked up a fair whack of complexity from those tertiary characteristics. I'm wary of the 09's though because it's so fruit forward and ripe. Oh well, time will tell. Thanks for your friend request, greatly appreciated, cheers, chatters

6/8/2015 8:30:00 PM - I checked out your recent tasting notes and I'm seriously disappointed by the lack of disgusting bug references.

1/28/2015 8:43:00 AM - Thought you might enjoy this given your bug thing.. http://www.wine-searcher.com/m/2015/01/matching-wine-with-bugs-yes-bugs

10/11/2014 9:59:00 AM - OK, my verdict is in on the 2009 La Tour de Mons. Unfortunately, you were right. This wine is nothing special - and I'm being charitable with that assessment. My remaining three bottles will either be used for cooking, or perhaps poured for some unsuspecting wine newbies. lol. So now I've had to alter my "Golden Rule" of wine buying to read "Beware of cheap Brunello, Barolo AND ESPECIALLY MARGAUX". ;) Cheers and party on girl! :D
