this was the nicest bottle of pj flower i've had in a long while. really nice bubbles - small, consistent and abundant. the nose jumps a little from the glass with nice yellow fruit, yeast and flower. the palate is clean and coating. nice round fruit with dough and hazelnut. pleasing feel throughout. finish is not bad perhaps a tad short and thin.

this bottle relly sang today. color of a nice dark rather opaque purple. nose jumps from glass with ripe red fruit, no heat but a fullness to the nose. exotic incense and some semi sweet licorice. the mouthfeel is terrific. first a nice coating of lush red fruit. then red fruits, flower petals, bright spiciness (not too earthy or dull) and sweet round tannins make for a near perfect mid palate. the finish tapers a bit but still nice and long with just a touch of heat to finish.

enjoyed this. nice clear pinot color - a bit lighter than previous vintages? nose is full and loaded with bright, ripe fruits, spice and just-a-tad too much wood. the palate is big and has a broodiness to it - ?product of youngness? loaded with cherry and raspberry fruit. vanilla. nice flavor, but again too much, wood. blame it on infanticide. love the finish where not as much of the wood comes through. more fruit and vanilla and a certain smoothness to this finish
