Semi-modern but with enough of old world to satisfy most Bordeaux lovers, this is one of my favorites from the Medoc and one with an excellent QPR. The color is dark and deep ruby and the nose is pleasingly earthy with tobacco, forest floor, and dark berries. The palate is a cornucopia: cherry, black currant, dark berries, black pepper, cedar, and clove. There is noticeable oak but not excessive. Medium/full body, tangy acidity, and well integrated tannins and finally it finishes smoothly leaving some caramel behind. Well-made and well-balanced and at this price point, you can't go wrong.

Surprisingly rich for a Gamay! medium ruby color with red and dark berries, licorice, cherry, mushroom, and dust on the nose. The palate shows sour cherry, raspberry some dark berries, and mushroom. A little bitter on the mid-palate with medium acidity and tannins and a nice finish. A very good show with a strong enough back bone to age for a few years.

An average wine with little character, suited for pasta dishes. Red berries, raw meat, mushroom, and graphite on the nose. The palate is simple with red berries, some black pepper, licorice, and mushroom. Medium acidity, low/medium tannins, and a medium finish.
