If you're an acid head like I am, you will like Lieu-Dit Sauvignon Blanc. While the tartness is the shining star of this Santa Ynez Valley white, it doesn't overpower the grapefruit citrus tones. A perfect selection for summer sipping.

If you have yet to delve into the Rieslings of the new world, the Tatomer Kick-On Ranch is a great place to start. Tatomer's Austrian winemaking influences are perfectly expressed through this dry, crisp and tart wine. Just as the perfume bouquet does not disappoint, neither will the lemon rind citrus tones on the palate.

According to an old English proverb, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Such advice need not apply when it comes to sparing buyers from a disappointing expenditure. Though Louis Roederer produces some of the finest champagne in the world, sadly, this brut premier is not one of them. The notes of cherry and almond while elegant in many champagnes, present on the palate almost reminiscent of cough syrup. Bottom line – there are better buys out there for your buck than this bottle of brut.
