8/25/2019 12:32:00 PM - Good day Mike, I don't think this wine is a keeper but a great value for sure. Here is my review: During a recent trip to Bordeaux region, I was fortunate to have spent a week in the Blaye region, which produces great quality wine. Blaye is located on the northern part of the Right Bank of the Gironde river. Chateau Loumelat 2015 from Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux is a perfect example of the style produced from the Blaye terroir. Made in limited volume and assembled with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine shows aromas of blackberry, ripe strawberry, jasmin, thyme, black tea, liquorice and oak. Light bodied with a medium finish, Chateau Loumelat reveals gentle notes of blackberry, hay, coffee and a hint of oak. This balanced wine will charm the amateur of easy drinking wine from the Blaye region AOC. Enjoy. Christian Marcoux

5/20/2019 12:23:00 PM - Hi Mike, I did not enjoy it. I found it a bit light on the fruit and on the structure. You will find other products from the same region or AOC in the SAQ that will be superior.

9/9/2018 12:44:00 PM - Good day Mike, It was a good day to day wine. Here what I report. A few kilometers from Saint-Emilion, Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux produces well made wine and have a rich winemaking skill. Chateau Fongaban is one of the oldest and well regarded in the Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux area. This 2015 organic wine is crafted from 82% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc, revealing aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, fresh cut grass, brown sugar, cinnamon and cedar. Chateau Fongaban 2015 has 14.5% alcohol, which is quite high for a Bordolais. Nonetheless, the wine shows great balance that softens the warmth of the alcohol. This well-made wine will please the palate with tastes of blackberry, dark cherry, tobacco, caramel, pepper and cedar. Enjoy!

7/23/2018 12:45:00 PM - Good day Mikeinottawa, I did enjoyed it but I was waiting a bit more from the wine, lovely week wine! I send you my review. Cheers From the Medoc region, Chateau Canteloup 2014 reveals lovely aromas of rich dark plum, blackcurrant, lavender, fennel, vanilla, leather and cedar. This Left bank wine shows a medium body and finish, and exposes tarte plum, cut grass, black currant leaf, wet stone and smoke. Fresh and young, this red wine will pair well with cheese. 86/100
