This was released in 2000 to celebrate the popular misconception that the new millennium began with the start of that year rather than New Years Eve 2000. Still quite dark in colour with a nose of earthy red fruit, full bodied, still showing soft tannins and ending with good length. It should be noted that of all the images uploaded only one is the correct special label for this bottling (uploaded by me).

Just out of curiosity, I opened a bottle of the 1997 Château de Saint-Cosme Gigondas just to see how it was doing. While the 98 I had a couple of days ago was good, this one kicks ass! It elicited no less than 3 "Hey, this is pretty good!" from SWMBO, and she is not very free with her compliments to wines. And it was! Riper than the 98 but also sweeter going in and longer finish. Down to my last case and it is being moved to current drinking status!

3/24/2017 5:56:00 AM - Hello from Calgary, land of endless blue sky. I'll be in Vancouver (land of endless traffic) last week of July/first of August. Would love to catch up with any and all (well most) of the group. I'll reach out again when I have my dates set. Cheers
