Faded at the rim, towards the Burgundy end of the colour spectrum. bouquet of berries with ever increasing complexity, exotic spice, incense menthol/camphor. On the palate, tending to the lean with some tannin providing a dry finish. Still fruit but lead, tobacco and a classic building intensity. A long finish refreshing, gourmand, interesting.

4 years bottle age. Pale, fine mousse. touches of brioche with green apples. On the palate lean and a sense of 'cut', cleansing but then opening out to a very long richer finish driven by fruit rather than bread/yeast.

Compact nose, dark fruit, opening out eventually to green tobacco. Still deep colour, fading slightly at the rim red brown, no purple. Palate all pleasure. no noticeable tannin (losing a lot of power if gaining complexity), brown sugar with well simmered dark fruit. Touches of leather, spice and tobacco. Very long, mouth coating.
