Magnum. : I should have opened it 4 years ago on its 20th. It has passed its peak and in my opinion on the way down. It lacks character/identity right now. Concentrated, with now soft tannis, but I felt the balance overall was lacking.. acidity was needed. Notes of chocolate, prunes, thyme and a touch of coffee. Nice finish. Tasty wine.. and nothing really wrong with it but just nothing to write home about and 100% not worth the super high tag this bottle comes with. These wines suffer from being pretty harsh at their youth, but other than a few, I don't really recall them ageing incredibly well past the 15 year mark. I'd stick with the 10 year point with these wines.
oh well.. I waited too long.

Very nice right now. The best showing of this wine by far. Tannins integrated. Glowing!
