Very approachable, full-bodied with dark fruit flavors prevailing yet also including mineral and earth notes for good measure.
Impressive effort, particularly given the vineyard's location in a region known for Cabernet and, more recently, excellent GSM blends rather than Pinot Noir.
Clear indication of terroir given the boldness and vigor. Tannins are discernible although quite smooth with no detraction of enjoyment whatsoever. Appropriately long finish.
90-91, here again I disagree with WS and am noticing a pattern of underrated 2014 Loring Pinots.
Excited about this young and enticing Sta. Rita Hills Pinot. Remarkable bouquet, amazingly flavorful and ripe with red fruit, blueberry, candy and spice notes seamlessly weaving together. Ends with a long and properly complex finish. Looking forward to trying the other 2014 Loring single vineyard productions from the region.

Not your typical Willamette Valley Pinot, but one of my favorites in terms of QPR produced in the amazing 2012 vintage. Ripe, bold and pleasant dark fruit flavors evolve throughout the imposing finish. Wish I had bought more of this when available.
