The wine looks light gold coloured. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like a bit like pineapple and melon. The body is light. The wine has a slightly juicy texture, but due to its acidity, it isn't at all unctuous. The wine finishes medium but calls for another sip... in a minute. It has medium acidity. Overall, a great opener for a long meal. Or evening sipping late at night. It costs C$25.99 in Saskatoon, which I find a bit pricey, but it is good value (if you have $25.99...).

This wine has a lovely ruby colour. The legs are medium. I saw no sediment in the bottle. The aroma is like prune and raisin, fruity and rich. The taste definitely shows the Franc, but it is muted and not at all crude. Once again, the fruit is definitely prominent. The body is medium to robust. The wine has a round texture, coating the mouth well but not dominating. The wine finishes long and has medium acidity. I bought 6 bottles, and this is the first tasting. There are still some slightly rough tannins, so I look forward to tasting this wine over the next few years. Bravo Malivoire!

Can be cellared for another 10 years, by my tasting. However, it was really enjoyable now. (I buy at least 2 bottles of a wine and taste one to determine if I should keep it.) There are lots of the traditional Cabernet Sauvignon tastes of black currant and a good deal of tannin, hence the judgement of it being cellared for more time. There was also a good deal of sludge at the bottom of the last glass. Overall, the best wine I've tasted this month. And it will likely get better.
