The wine is well balanced, full of rich berries and hints of salinity. At the beginning, we found the petite sirah (?) to be predominant, then that influence ceased to exist and seemed to meld into the Zinfandel (after ~20 minutes).
We had this with Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken) and a green salad. It was perfect now, tho’ capable of aging more. Just ordered six more bottles.

Color is a deep magenta (akin to black raspberry). Very little in the nose (too cold): fresh cut wood, black fruit and dusty notes. Medium to full-bodied, glycerin nuances with caramel; the 14.4% alcohol does not stand out. There is plenty of caramel, but no distinctive fruit initially, but when it warms up, there are strong tannins and a ‘shadowy’ nuance over the raspberry and strawberry fruit. Finish of sweet berry fruits and the alcohol finally comes up. Goes well with fillet of sockeye, spinach with a large “garnish” of bacon and duchesse potatoes. We opened it at 6:00 and it finally opened up around 8pm, next time we will open it much earlier! 91/100

Still has some strong tannins; loaded with berry fruit, especially raspberry (a friend of ours would refer to this as “a fruit bomb”). Well balanced
