2/4/2021 5:09:00 PM - I was gifted this beautiful wine from a fellow wine lover (thanks again Mark Rock). I loved the soft and plush red fruit that immediately presents on first sip. Soft and round but with a nice backbone and some drying tannins to boot. There is a bit of initial heat, but nothing oppressive at all- just a reminder of the power behind this tasty effort. I do drink my share of Italian Primitivo, and this presented as a higher echelon and more sophisticated offering. Being a Pinot geek I am always excited to experience other varietals and extend both my experience and knowledge. All I can say is that this warmed my bones on a cold and blustery winter night and was a beautiful expression of this varietal.
