Decanted for three hours. Dark purple, looks young. Screw cap seal 13.5%. The black sheep logo reminds me of Hugh Hamilton. Dusty on the nose, still muddy puddle, moss undergrowth. Pallet is Cork board, savoury, pencil shavings, which slightly overpowers the red strawberry tones. Enjoyable, not amazing.

Cork closure - Diam 1. No sign of corkage. Just opened, quick decant. Light red, young. Bit of grunge, funky moss. Flower orchid, rose petals, floral perfume. Light spice, cloves, and black pepper. Vanilla essence. Touch of aniseed, dark ripe plum. Liquorice allsorts.
Garnacha, or Grenache, is a new term for me.

Unfortunately lost my earlier tasting notes. From memory not aging well, fruit has dropped off, so overly oaked (most likely old). Jubes. High alcohol (14.6%) resembling Barossa characteristics. Didn’t enjoy day 1, tipped out day 3.Might be okay as food wine but not complex and interesting enough alone.
