  • 2020 Cosentino Winery Cabernet Franc The Franc

I wanted nice and fresh Cab Franc. This is not it! If I had been given this blind, I would have guessed a cheep, bulk Cab Sauvignon from California
    Flabby, overripe sugary sweet. Yuk!!

  • 2020 Müller Grüner Veltliner Kremstal

The family run Müller winery is located in the southern part of the Kremstal wine region

in the picturesque village of Krustetten. It is managed by the brothers Leopold and
Stefan Müller. The responsibilities are clearly structured: Stefan is the vineyard manager
and Leopold is winemaker and sales manager. Our philosophy is to work in harmony
with nature in a sustainable and respectful manner. The diverse soil and micro climatic
conditions on the hills surrounding the Göttweig Abbey, in the southern Kremstal wine
region, require us to care for every vineyard individually and to fully understand each
site in relation to soil, exposure and grape variety. Our knowledge that has accumulated
over several generations allows us to produce superior grape quality with distinct and
    exciting character.

    PAIRING SUGGESTIONS
This wine is a perfect match for spicy cuisine, especially Asian cuisine. This fresh Veltliner is particularly suitable for an aperitif on warm summer days

  • 2005 Freeman Pinot Noir Keefer Ranch

    What a double surprise!
I didn’t have this in CT and was very surprised when I found it in a corner of my cellar. “Probably vinegar, but let me try it anyway.” Backup wine ready to go.
No need for the backup - this Freeman Keefer Ranch is still singing! Plenty of fresh red fruit, coupled with that ‘age flavor’ I like in my wine. Absolutely delicious - after an hour and half on an open bottle, it was starting to fade. I am so happy I still have one other bottle left.
Another example that CA pinot can last a long time if you let them (or in this case, forget them…)
