A wine still in its adolescent. Amazingly, still ruby red with no bricking whatsoever . At this stage best part of the wine is the pure red fruited floral nose. An indication of its potential greatness. The palate is still very clenched and reticent. The fruit is there but behind an austere structure. The tanins while considerable at not dry but quite fine and tend to give this wine its austerity. I wouldn’t give up on this wine as the material is deep, there is no dryness so my guess another 10 years will be needed for this to open up in all its glory. Fingers crossed!

A bit of reductive struck match on the nose, but underneath lots of grapefruit and slightly underripe white peach. Still light to mid weight palate in a Chablis style, white peach, minerally and nice fresh acidity. Well put together chardonnay with real finesse, though in the end May lacking in real, fruit depth, but for the price, a real bargain

An excellent Watervale Riesling in early stages of development. Lovely lime and citrus nose with a wisp of buttered toast. No kero at all thank goodness. Great depth of fruit on palate with lovely balance. A top riesling.

12/12/2017 10:15:00 PM - Hi Pverd,
As I too am in Sydney I was just wondering where you purchase most of your wines from? Private broker, online sites, auctions or a combination. Would love to get some advice where to find quality international wines as I am very young and fresh on the scene.
Many thanks!
