Nothing wrong with it, but not my style. Strong and almost sweet black fruits, overripe plum and blackberries. The acidity seemed out of place as if it may have been added. There were four of us sharing the bottle and half the group enjoyed it.

Surprising wine. It is hard for me to think it will get any better. I have had a few old Buttonwoods, and this one is one of the better ones. It carried a few reductive notes but had a fair bit of dark fruits, mainly blackberries. The nose and pallet were very similar (no surprises). We had 2016 as well, but the '02 was the clear winner.

Very nice! Dark golden color. Lots of stone fruit and maybe lime zest (?) on the nose. The initial pour stopped mid-pallet but after an hour and a half it fully developed. Flavors of peaches on the front and racey lemon on the finish. High and very lovely acidity. I have three more and will try hard not to drink them now.
