Just slightly past its time. Silky tannins with lots of cocoa and subtle berry flavors; ever so slightly oxidized on night#2. Perfect with leftover rack of lamb. Don't let this wait any longer if you have some.

Half bottle purchased in 1999 at San Francisco's Wine House. Cork in good shape: firm, extracted with no problems. Fine crystals present on the underside--also a good sign. Flavors of honey, orange rind, toffee/coffee. Very nice. Surprisingly balanced acidity for a twenty-year-old wine.

My last bottle. Opened at 2pm. Finished at 10pm. It remained consistent throughout this period, with a slightly oxidized flavor, but strong minerality and citrus. Absolutely delicious at twenty years old!
