Hints of black licorice, fennel, and anise, this wine is still very drinkable, even though it’s slightly past it’s prime. Color is just slightly bricky. Still needs 10 minutes in the glass to fully open up. Did not disappoint.

This is the bottle that fueled my passion for Bordeaux. Enjoyed it at Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant in Phoenix, AZ in 1998. Paired it with a superb rack of lamb. This experience was one of my finest wine-related memories ever.
