at t=0 with opening, an aroma of dark fruit, cigar box, and with a mid-palate that was an acidic mess; at t=2 hours, aroma of more fruit, less cigar box, and more subdued notes, with a palate of austerity, acidity, astringency, but hopeful notes of balance with an appearance of more black fruit; at t=6 hours the aroma was even less fruit and cigar box, with a much more balanced palate of dark fruit and gripping tannins. Overall, this is an highly extracted Cab that benefits from tons of air and time post-opening; bottle aging will slowly address this, yes, but for the next few years I will open others 4-6 hours before drinking. Future score ~95, now ~90.

slight orange tinge; meaty and earthy on the nose, moderate fruit; acidic and rich, with fruit and subtle tannins on mid-palate; moderate to strong tannic finish. I don't agree with other comments that this is a big, compared to my typical $100-$200 Napa Cabs, this is a moderate wine. Most striking impression among many: interesting nose of earthy rich soil, meat components, and smashed ripe red fruit.

Yellow straw in the glass. Nose has acidic ripe fruit, and notes of cilantro, and a minearilty. Light bodied but rich with solid acidic finish. Why is this so expensive? Good but too much $.
