first nose after opening: intensive black currant - promising more than afterwards delivered
after decanting: a little bit of alcoholics a lot of tannins + toasting good structure but not harmonic now it needs now at least 3 h of decanting to go get a little bit smother
it needs time! - wait 5 Years

nose: cellar, earth, chocolate, cedar, ethanol Taste: dark chocolate, very strong Tanins, wild cherry decant it at least 1 hr before starting to drink I think it needs more time (2-5 years) but now I'm not sure if it goes above 92 points with aging. - I Drunk a 1/2 Bottle standalone from climatised cellar.

2006 Château Léoville Barton
4/17/2021 - huntingtom Likes this wine: 91 Points
First Nose:surprising intensive black elderberry
Second Nose: Cherry, black currant
Taste:
liquourice, almonds, wood, sweetness, full bodied but not very complex
I think it is still too young, needs a lot of air to open
