Complex nose of raspberries and herbs, some leather, perhaps a bit of shoe polish or tar. Medium body, with nice fruit--raspberries and tart cherries, and very long. Acidity carries it well. Wish I had cases of this stuff. bargain at $30 in my opinion. Did I say long??

Mineral and pepper on the nose. Pepper carries through on the pallate. Descent fruit, not over the top. It seems to me this quality can be had in a spanish grenache for 10 or 15 buck less that this, though

Color is faily light, but an attractive ruby red. Upon aeration, the nose is beginning to reveal some strawberry and other red fruits. Its a bit thin on the pallate, but pleasant strawberry and raspberry and bitter licorice and earth are present. It finishes much longer than expeted with pepper lingering in the very back of my mouth. Good tannic backbone for a wine of this pedigree. Complex for $15, but I had hoped for a bit more weight.
