Locale: Seattle, Washington, USA
Favorite region: Piedmont (Barolo), Rhone, South Africa, Walla Walla (not necessarily in that order!)
I have been interested in wine since I was in my late teens -- a neighbor who was into wine opened my eyes when we drank a 1971 Chateau Lyonnat (a lovey St Emilion) that I had bought my parents as a gift. I have a pretty eclectic cellar, and have (mostly) stopped buying wine except for Cayuse. I find that I have more than enough to last a while, and enjoy exploring wines with a bit of age on them that I know have been well stored.

11/12/2020 2:31:00 PM - Hi Ron, happy to buy some of your older Frogs off u if you are looking to lighten up and they are well stored. Just saw you commented on my 2007 tasting note, sorry for the late note back

9/2/2019 9:48:00 AM - Oh great! I have actually started to cut down on my Cayuse as it is so dominate in my cellar! And I do like other wines as well. Let us know when you are next in Seattle -- or if you go to the 2020 release weekend!

9/2/2019 6:55:00 AM - Ron: As you can see from my tasting notes, Cayuse is also my favorite winery. Had to wait 5 years to get some, now just get 12 bottles per year. However, through some secondary purchases and friends who can get more than they keep, my cellar now has more than 300 of them, including Horsepower and Hors Categorie. I also lived in Seattle, 15 weeks a year (Alki and Queen Anne) for ten years, went to Release Weekend 2018.

10/17/2014 4:34:00 PM - I do go to the Cayuse release weekend. Not sure if we will be there Fri or Sat this year -- depends on schedule and when we can get away!

10/16/2014 5:59:00 PM - I might have to take you up on that Ron! We get to Seattle a couple of times a year. It has been a few years since I had the '90 Pichon and I had forgotten I had that in my profile! It was pretty dang good the last time I tried it. I only have a few 90's left and the Lynch is quite good. Oh for more old Bordeaux! They do taste amazing don't they! I will drop you a note if we ever get that way to tip a few. Do you go to the Cayuse tasting? Maybe I will see you there! We always go on Friday.
