$21 from 12th and Chestnut St. PLCB store in Philadelphia, PA. Closeout sale.
Appearance: Medium + Intensity/ Deep old gold color
Aroma: Medium - to Light Intensity/ Apricot, Kiwi, Asian Pear, Honey, Bready Yeast
Palate: Off Dry Sweetness, Full Bodied, Medium Acid, Medium + Alcohol, Medium Flavor Intensity, Medium + Length/ Rye Bread, Caraway, Limestone, Asian Pear and Red Apple, light Tropical notes.
Intriguing palate. The rye and formost breadiness is not what I expected from the aroma. So much extract and body that it belies the dryness of the wine (almost suggesting Medium Dry sweetness). A little hot but not to the point of unpleasantness. A little strange but interesting and enjoyable. I'm going to approach this again in several hours and reevaluate.
Reevaluation after 2 hours: Earthier overall, on the nose and palate. A very good wine.

Aprox. $38 at Chestnut Hill PLCB store in Philadelphia, PA.
Aroma: Medium - to Light Intensity/ Grapey, tropical notes of papaya, minerality, lightly floral and herbal.
Palate: Off Dry, Medium + Body, Medium to Medium + Acidity, Medium Alcohol, Medium + Flavor Intensity, Medium + Finish/ Underripe Tropical Fruit, Herbal, Stone Fruit.
A little dissapointing. I'm either drinking this a little too early or a little too late. The aromatics, were somewhat subdued, and the palate didn't offer much complexity. However the palate was nicely balanced. Ultimately I feel that I paid too much. Based on the previous review however, I'm wondering if I had a slightly off bottle (herbal sharpness oxidative flaw?).

Aroma: Medium to Medium + Intensity/ Quince and Apricot, some tropical, Mushroom, Loam, Bready.
Palate: Medium Acidity, Medium Body, Medium + to Long Length, Medium Alcohol/ Bread, Quince and Apricot, Earth/Loam
The nose really meets the palate seemlessly. Viscous but not overly blousy. Very well balanced.
Overall a very good wine that will develop for the next 5-7 years before beginning to degrade.
