5/28/2023 1:48:00 AM - I will reply in English. My apologies; I could attempt it in French, but I think you would become annoyed at my clumsiness. C'est pas gentil, mais . . I thought about using the 20 point scale (like the 'Revue des Vins de France' (RVP)), but then I realised that RVP includes half points, so it is really a 40-point scale. If you then take into account that no wine scores less than 50 points on the 100-point 'Parker' scale ie. it is a 50-point scale, there seemed no reason to fight the prevailing fashion on this site. Years ago (the 1980s) I developed my own 50-point scale so that made it a bit easier to adopt what is an inherently flawed system of assessing wine. One score to cover appearance, nose, mouthfeel, flavour, length and overall quality ! - not really ideal.
