WSET3 Course Notes; 4/28/2024-6/9/2024 (WineHouse, Los Angeles): A: Medium ruby. N: Medium intensity. Strawberry, red cherry. Tomato leaf, liquorice. Distant savouriness but I think the wine is still youthful. P: Dry, medium+ acidity. Medium tannin, alcohol, and body. Medium flavour intensity. Tart, really tart with crunchy cranberry, sour strawberry or smth. Bubblegum mayne? Cedar. Medium finish. AQ: Good. Blind guessed a Beaujolais village 2021. To be honest, I thought the wine had part whole bunches, but apparently not. 8/18 Drink now, can withstand just a little ageing.

WSET3 Course Notes; 4/28/2024-6/9/2024 (WineHouse, Los Angeles): A: Medium ruby. N: Medium+ intensity. Very ripe cranberry, rose petals, red currant, even slight baked character. Baking spices, smoke, and vanilla. Game and wet leaves. Developing but still very youthful. P: Dry, medium+ acidity. Medium- tannin. Medium alcohol and medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity. Cranberry, dried fruit, a little brett. Guelder rose maybe? Vanilla. Medium+ finish. QA: Very good. I guessed a Burgundy premier site with southern exposure. 9/18, I really do not think that this represents good value. At least, at this moment. Can drink now, but maybe it will be worth it when aged.

WSET3 Course Notes; 4/28/2024-6/9/2024 (WineHouse, Los Angeles): A: Pale garnet. N: Medium intensity. Very interesting nose with a little bit of citrus, red cherry, ripe raspberry, blackcurrant leaf. Chocolate. Earth and tobacco. Developing. P: Dry, high acidity. Medium- tannin. Medium alcohol, medium- body, and medium flavour intensity. Ripe raspberry, red apple. Toast and leather. Roasted hazelnut. Medium+ finish. AQ: Very good, even though the class disagreed. I guessed a very good Bourgogne rouge blind because it seemed blended. I guessed 2019 as a year and was really surprised that the wine was this young given all the tertiary notes. 9/18 Can drink now and you probably should because it is showing age while it shouldn't.
