Just a beautiful wine. My last bottle - and what a way to end! Plush mouthfeel, classic Napa floor flavor profile but just a little restrained, with all the elements in harmony. This bottle is why I buy so much Napa Cabernet!

A nice bottle, but in a very new world (i.e. Napa) style. Nice flavors, but soft with little acidity or tannin structure.

12/15/2015 8:14:00 PM - Sometimes you have to wonder if trying an expensive bottle of really good wine is a gift to your palate or a curse:) Fortunately or unfortunately-grin-I had my first really good bottle when I was 25 years old. Back then a really expensive bottle was $25. But once that wine crossed my palate revealing a complexity of flavors with the nose captivating another sensory input-I was all in. Had a wine cellar of 1,000 bottles. As I am retired I do not need as many bottles as in the past-rebuilding my cellar to around 350. With the average cost of most of my wines over $100 it is a slow process. Really getting into Pomerol-Côte Rotie-and of course good Napa Cabernet and Washington State Cayuse. So it sounds like you are in for some great times. Enjoy:) -Dave
