  Pale ruby, clear.
  Nose; abundant strawberries and raspberries, pink rose petals.
  Palate; strawberries and raspberries, some creamy vanilla, smooth with very well-integrated tannins, medium acidity, great balance, lush.Well-made wine in a good spot right now.
  Day 2; Sublime.
  I hope J Phelps can find a decent distributor in Thailand so i can try some more of their wines!

  1 hour decant.
  Dark rustic red with some browning on the rim, pretty much halfway between clear and opaque.
  Nose; green pepper, sweet cassis and some black cherry notes.
  Palate; initial explosion of lush fruits esp plum and black cherry. Moist forest floor , savoury cold cuts and gentle vanilla. Gaining complexity with time in glass and secondary flavours of pencil lead, tar and liquorice show. Still has good structure and great length of flavour. There is no qpr here for me, but there is a magnificent bottle of wine.

  So i like this wine; its unctuous, flavoursome and great to drink on its own or with strong-flavoured food.Its not complex or mysterious but it satisfies(not only me but everyone i have shared it with). Dark in colour, with a pleasant nose of dark fruit, it is soft and approachable yet rich with a solid structure. Might not be for the purists but good for pleasure seekers! Good QPR.
