Haven't written a tasting note in a while but had to for this wine. It is not good. Purchased a case, received 8 bottles in one delivery, then cancelled the other 4 from Garagiste. Dumped 2 bottles, gave away 2, and have been suffering through the rest. (Made a beef stew with one bottle.)
This most recent bottle was ok on the nose. Some decent Pinot accents: muted but with some dark cherry, clove, and earth. Kind of old meets new world I guess?....but doesn't feel intentional. The palate is out of wack. Thin, astringent, some VA, very little fruit, and short. I have always had a love/ hate relationship with Garagiste mystery wines. Sometimes their mystery wines are awesome finds and sometimes I feel like they buy wines that someone is trying to dump for clearance. It happens in the wine business all the time and the consumer has to buy with caution. But obviously I trust them enough to buy a case. Just didn't work out on this occasion. Time to discover something new!
Decent wine. Fresh and vibrant with cranberry and bright cherry. It would probably have been better to wait for the summer for this one. Medium bodied with a medium finish. Not bad but nothing spectacular. May purchase again for a summer red with BBQ chicken, other light meat, or grilled fish.

Drank over 2 nights. Decent wine with fair aromatics. On the nose you get some apricot, lemon and flower notes. The palate brings in a little grapefruit and a hint of honey. Simple and straight forward. The palate loses it for me with the hollow midpalate through to the shortish finish. Will not seek out again.
