First time to try this wine - PnP, Dark purple and opaque - has the look of a bruiser. REALLY LOVELY NOSE of cassis, dark berries and tar. Very ripe on the palate with flavors that match the nose. Nice burst of acidity on the finish that keeps the wine from being syrupy. I prefer a more structured, Bordeaux-like wine, but the rich, ripe flavors were terrific.

Very - California in style with a rich, buttery character, pear and green apple flavors with biting acidity and a long, slightly bitter finish. Nothing elegant about it, and I thought it was a bit overdone, but still enjoyable.

2018 Grand Napa Vineyards Master Red

I purchased this wine because I enjoyed the Napa Reserve so much, While this is a solid, enjoyable wine, it lacls the structure and depth of the Reserve. Mostly red fruit with nice balance and a somewhat soft texture. 88-89
