8/12/2013 9:11:00 PM - i think the best two choices are the Gold Coast and the west Loop

8/11/2013 2:45:00 PM - Ovid has 3 cabins. I assume they aren't usially for rent. I'm not sure what the amenities are - will find out. We have spent 2 days looking at places to buy. We like the gold coast and the river area (Trump International is a possibility). We have enjoyed pur time here - walking everywhere. We have been to a couple of wine stores - House of Glunz and Uncork it. Maybe we'll stop at Binnys tonight. We did go to Pizza Man when in Milwaukee last week - the grand opening is this week and they are still working out the kinks. The wine list is much slimmer but I'm sure they'll build it up. ...and they aren't offering deep dish yet.

8/3/2013 3:43:00 AM - Chicago is a great city. Enjoy. I am from Milwaukee as well. The auction lot sounds amazing. Enjoy. I didn't know that Ovid even had a place to stay.

8/1/2013 1:41:00 PM - We are staying at Ovid. We won an auction lot that included a stay the, lunch at Chappelet and David Arthur and tastings at a couple others...oh, and magnums from each. We also like pinot's although my husband is more of a fanthan I am. We met the winemaker at Flowers a few weeks ago and are going to try to visit. We also know Craig Haserot at Sojourn pretty well and buy a couple of others. And we are heading to Chicago next week. My husband is from Milwaukee so we're going to see his family and then going to Chicago for 5 days to determine if we like it enough to get a condo there downtown. We both love the city but haven't spent a lot of time there together.

8/1/2013 4:54:00 AM - We visit napa about once a year as well. I am just planning our October trip. We will be all over the valley as well as Sonoma. While I am a big Cab lover, my wife likes Pinot's so that is our go to wine on many evenings. We will be on Pritchard Hill visiting Ovid when we ate there. We are in suburban Chicago.

8/1/2013 2:53:00 AM - We largely track inventory including use of the bins to keep our wine organized. We also use it to look at scores and drinking windows.I do most of the inventory tracking but it has become quite a fun hobby for us to share. We've been collecting for about 15 years, not that much longer than you. We visit Napa at least a couple times a year. We are going again in late October/early November and will spend time in the Pritchard Hill area. Where do you live? We are in northern VA, outside of DC

7/31/2013 4:16:00 PM - I became a fan - I saw your review of one of the Realm wines, looked at your cellar and saw that we share a lot of the same wine interests. And a badger? My husband went to Wisconsin!
