2015 Adelsheim Pinot Noir Breaking Ground

Very good Oregon Pinot Noir from one of the older Willamette Valley wineries. Medium ruby, good acidity, cherries, and spice in the initial flavors and a good mid-range and finish.

2014 Gran Moraine Chardonnay
5/3/2020 - Ken332 Likes this wine: 94 Points
This is an outstanding Oregon Chardonnay, reminiscent of a premier Cru Meursault. Crisp acidity, lemons and citrus fruit, good mid-range, excellent mouthfeel, and finish of aged French white Burgundy that reminds me of toasted oats. Have drunk a half case of this wine and only wish I had more of them.

2009 Château Cap de Faugères
4/27/2020 - Ken332 Likes this wine: 90 Points
Served with grilled rib-eye steak. Have been through over a case of this wine over the past few years and it continues to be a very good, relatively inexpensive, Bordeaux with cassis and spice in the nose and initial flavors, modest tannins, and a good finish. Acidity is high enough to serve with grilled steak. All in all, a very good wine that should probably be drunk within the next 2-5 years.
