Lighter hued ruby color though satisfying depth of fruit alongside Nerello's subtle, earthy, dry cured meat aromas. Quite respectable tannin, minerality, acidity. Good extraction of dried strawberry fruit & green strawberry leaf. Not so sharp as cranberry for me- there is more richness. Lovely to pair with shellfish in light tomato broth, or picnic roast beef sandwich, quite rare with proper Jarlsberg, green lettuce, & white onion.

Much more open/expressive/satisfying 2nd day. Big white & well structured for the price. Tannic framework draped in luxurious white stone fruits, papaya, wild honey, searing acidity, appropriate oak & stem resin. Alcohol seems forward still, as I would hope for a wine to cellar. Stoney, waxy, viscous, peach & white floral lanolin finish is very long lasting. True to the vintage. I'll be buying these for the cellar, I'm a big fan of well made Northern Rhone whites.

Beautifully aromatic, fruitful, grippy, barely yielding. Decant 3-4 hours if you must drink, and prepare thick, grilled ribeye of beef. Needs another 10 years in the cellar, ideally.
