Bright golden. Apples and some vanilla & spices, but not evident oak on the nose. Came through similar on palate with lemon curd and more minerality and crispness than I expected. Quite a nice wine at this stage. Doesn't come across as mature, but I think this is at its absolute best. An unexpected pleasure and a good buy given the alternatives in this appellation.

Clean with crystal garnet in the center. Nose of some balsamic notes with some bitter cherry and earthiness. On the palate it is mostly cherries and some dark stoniness and earth essence, but no tannins. Certainly ready now and for a few more years.

Really integrated with basically no tannins. Sweet cherries immediately on nose and palate. Kinda like a NSG Burg without the earthiness. Paired this with a simple asian beef, green peppers and onions and it was low/no tannin with enough soft black fruit to work. I think it's been wonderful for the last few years and will be for a few more, but probably at a peak place now since it did fall off a little on the fruit/acidity balance on the last glass later in the evening, but really delicious for the first couple of hours.
