At the risk of seeming lazy, I can't add anything to what legarejm stated in the most recent comment (March 2020). S/he nailed it. But the cellar lifer of this gem is perhaps even longer. It was perfect last night with strip steak.

5/9/2017 10:20:00 AM - Thanks for your note. I haven't been to L'Artusi but I would guess it is better than Left Bank. I picked Left Bank b/c I needed to have a business dinner -- in a quiet place, where one could have a conversation -- and it had to be in the West Village. So that was what I could find; the BYOB was a bonus. If I went there again I would bring my own glasses :)
