Only recently have I decided to turn my lifelong fondness for red wine into a hobby so as yet, the skills and nuances of that near corporal entity that is wine tasting - what with its body, its nose, its mouth , its palate, and even its legs – will have to make do without the autopsy detail until I can get in some serious practice.

Dark fruit, bit tannic and oakey but I'd say it's well balanced and a little ageing will improve it.........but barely drinkable is tough. Mebbe just that bottle?

For me, on the nose, brooding even puzzling. After that an explosion of creamy, red fruit and spices with an incredible depth of flavour. Finish,on the short side...who cares the rest was gorgeous! Can understand that it might offend the purists but for the plebs- and count me in everytime- this is the ducks nuts!! Constructed perfectly to sway the ambivalent red wine drinker.
