So... I poured this blind for friends (via Zoom, with a driveway meet up a few hours before hand to exchange 6 oz bottles... one does what one has to in pandemic times), and they were suitably impressed. The 64 months on lees came across as a reductive quality... which is not a bad thing. A lot of interesting stuff going on here. I mean, it's not Champagne, but when a decent bottle of Champagne from a grower/producer starts at $70 in our market, and the Graham Beck Brut Zero is $24.95, it's a no brainer to stock up on this as your daily drinker.

Thomas Bachelder’s return to - and the relaunch of - Clos Jordanne. I picked up one bottle each of the Pinot and Chard mostly out of curiosity. Sadly, not much to get excited about here. On the thin side with candied cherry, some floral notes, and a whack of vanilla. Bachelder’s wines under his own label are considerably better.

Damn this was great. I was saving it for an offline, but those won’t be happening for quite some time, and with 2020 being what it is, I decided I deserved this. No bricking. Vibrant dark cherry and strawberry with some sous bois and a bit of mushroom. If I’d had this blind I might have guessed it was a 1999. Yay me!

10/3/2018 8:23:00 PM - Sunny...I do formally apologize, I hope you can forgive. Humans will tangle and fight, and it brings out sometimes needed and sometimes unnecessary results/information. I hope our debacle has helped more than hurt CT, as you did spit some truly great knowledge/drink-ability info about that wine of which we tangled. I have found that once the air is cleared or just some time passed there is a chance to become closer and friendly, or to keep a grudge. I choose friendship. Your experience to CT is invaluable. Peace and love, cheers!
6/21/2014 8:23:00 AM - Sunnylea57, You may be right on the Dunn. However I just bought this and it may not have been stored properly. I should have noted that.
However, most reviews of the 03 indicate that vintage does not last quite as long as many other vintages of Dunn. I'll take your advice and hold some of the others for a few years and see what develops. Thanks for your comment.
