Decanted for an hour, perhaps not enough but still, it has a soft flowery nose, again with the roses, vanilla, and perhaps some herbality, mint? On the palate, red fruit, strawberries, tar, minerals, cheeky tannins, again pepper in the finish. With more time in the decanter, more tar, evergreen, and ash emerged in the midpalate expression. A softer more tannic echo of '20 Castello di Neive Santo Stefano, but at a fraction the price, it is an excellent value! Tonight with spicy grilled elk tenderloin wild rice, and sauteed vegetables. 91/92

Decanted for 2-3h. Fragrant floral nose of raspberries, violets, roses, along with vanilla and baking spices. The palate is intense juicy red fruit, bracing chewy tannins, a touch of tar, mineral, and vibrant acidity with a peppery finish. This is very very young but still a wow! Will purchase more from the Enoteca. Tonight paired with spicy grilled elk tenderloin wild rice, and sauteed vegetables. 93/94
