Dark, tarry, tannic, but surprisingly approachable for a young petite sirah. Loaded with candied blackberry goodness, finishing with some toasty oak, vanilla, earth, and leather.

Honey, melon, lemon, and a slight butter custard dominate the nose and palate of this silky SB. The mouthfeel is tangy, smooth, and well-developed, with a chalky minerality that pops in the finish. This is clearly oaked, although only slightly, providing a nice balance and something extra. Good wine; great value!

Dark purple/black in the glass and loaded with dusty plum, blackberries, and raspberries on the nose, with some toasty oak wafting in here and there. On the palate, this is pure silk with hints of sour cherry, capers, and gentle tannins popping in the back-palate. On the finish, this becomes markedly leathery. Brilliantly balanced and big, without a hint of the bold alcohol number (15.1%).
