This was my first time drinking Jamet and I was blown away. Very earthy and funky initially, but you just knew it would blow off. Having said that, the funk was great. The perfume was incredible - very floral - violets and roses to the fore. Although this is very young it was phenomenally well integrated - luscious and rounded the meat, spice, plums and ripe cherries in perfect balance. Marvellous

If I was to pick a wine that makes me happy it’s this. First time on the 2017 and, IMO, a step up from the 2016. The balance is even better. Yes, this is turned up to 1, but it’s not overdone. The oak is restrained, the stone fruits on the palate are stunning and the acidity helps to keep it all together. Marvellous.

This is holding it all back. Quite hot on the nose with ripe fruits - cassis and jammy plums. Cedar and mint also. Still fairly high acidity, but the tannins are actually in check. It’s a balanced wine that just needs time. I’d say hold for 3-4 years.
