Nose is like being slapped across the face with a decomposing tree branch from the forest floor, a full spectrum of umami scents with mushrooms, decomposing leaves, moss, and cedar predominately, with a topnote of something herbal reminiscent of rosemary or pine with pinches of nutmeg and cinnamon.
Palate carries the forest floor theme but is lifted by a wonderful acidity that keeps everything light and nimble. Finally, an elegant dried stawberry fruit profile kicks in and persists through a long finish.
Beautiful harmonious wine.

Opened my eurocave and once again the sliding doors of the lowest compartment blew out leaving a slew of northern rhones at my feet.
This bottle caught my eye and was poured into a decanter via an aerator 30 minutes prior to dinner of chicken parmigiana.
Ruby purple to the rim in the glass.
Nose is slightly wild and gamy but balanced by a lovely floral character and a pleasant bitterness that keeps things from being uncomplicated. Alcohol seems way more prominent than the 13% indicated which detracts somewhat.
On the palate there is muted black fruit and flowers and kalamata olives with a really nice acidity which cut through it all.
Love it.

Easy breezy cremant for celebrating the minor victories in life. I have never regretted opening a bottle of this for any reason.
