Very good but clearly on decline. Almost no tannin. Smooth, tobaccos, mineral, and on first opening a little burnt bacon (?). I know that makes little sense. Very soft black cherry fruit emerging.

Bought six originally and this is the fourth. Except for moving from one house with a cellar to another with wine coolers, this has been stored properly for 15-16 years. Holding up remarkably: elegant, dark fruits, smooth but still present firm tannins; tobacco. Long finish. There is moderate sediment in the bottle.

In a good drinking window, but I am planning on drinking remaining bottles in the next two years. Dark, very mellow with dissolved tannins. The bouquet is big and the taste lingers on the mid/back of the tongue. Cassis, dark cherry, mineral, a touch of very dry dark chocolate. With a thick pork chop seasoned with cumin seed and paprika which seemed to bring out a lot in this wine.
