I noted to him that, while the wife and I live in England, we are headed to Naples on December 1st for about 3 months in order to get away from our British winter's chill. While in Naples it would be a pleasure to share a bottle of something decent with like minded oenophiles. As it happened, when I lived in CA back in the 80's I had the pleasure of enjoying some excellent early La Jota cabs - they remain memories to this day. So if you are open to it, I'd love to lift a choice glass with you (and Mark) and hear about your Howell Mountain venture.

  3/16/2021 7:36:00 PM - Hi Rocky, The vineyard is doing well. We will be in second leaf this year. Almost 100% of the original vines survived. The vines look pretty good but I'm going to fly out this September and take a look for myself and of course taste a few wines!

  4/21/2020 11:12:00 AM - Have visited them and tried their complete line up a few years ago. As I remember I wasn't blown away by their Cabs and actually bought one of their Pinots. Can't say I've had any of their 16s Sorry. HMC
