7/18/2015 3:09:00 PM - Thank you for your comments on my tasting note on the 1998 Domenico Clerico Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra. I would be very happy if I could find a levitating Barolo. I too greatly admire the whites of Alsace, particularly the Weinbach and Zind-Humbrecht wines. I like the Gewurztraminer and the Pinot Gris wines more than the Riesling. I have also been a fan of Muller-Catoir wines in the Rheinpfalz. While I enjoy sweet German wines, I am now a philistine and prefer Kabinetts. But you shouldn't miss out on the whites of Sine Qua Non and the best of American Chardonnay, including Marcassin and Aubert.

2/27/2014 7:25:00 AM - A belated thanks for the information on the 1993 Huet Haut Lieu (f/k/a Constance). I had only recently learned that Haut Lieu could and does include other parcels. While RWC's sales pitch that the wine is from a cherished part of Haut Lieu may be partly true, it doesn't seem like the full story. In any event, quite the tempest regarding Huet these days.
