10/10/2015 5:21:00 PM - Hi SDD. Thanks for the additional recommendations. We have done a bit of exploring here in WA now. Justin Neufeld makes wine out at Gilbert Cellars in Yakima and has his own label "JB Neufeld" of Cabernets. Just found Structure Cellars as well. Tasty cab franc! Taste of Tulalip sounds fun. Thanks for the tip.

8/3/2015 11:20:00 AM - I have never taken to his Chardonnay, although I haven't had this vintage yet.

8/1/2015 3:11:00 PM - SDD, thanks for the kind words. Of the six Cooper wines I tasted the Estate Chardonnay and the WW CS stood out, which surprised me because Chardonnay is not my thing and WW tends to be my least favorite WA appellation for big reds. One never quits learning about wine and surprises are always informative.

7/2/2015 7:17:00 PM - I dig your handle. I was born and raised in San Diego so way to represent SD up in WA. Just discovered Dennis Cakebread's new venture, Mullan Road, and looking forward to popping their 2012 Red Blend. I'm hoping it's at the quality level of Cakebread's flagship offering.

3/24/2015 4:38:00 PM - It was indeed. Done in stages. Hardest part was tracking the inventory of each box. Luckily I was able to store in my Dad's basement and moved 20 cases or so at a time, but did drive them up myself. Hopefully never again! Need to drink down the cellar now...

3/24/2015 4:27:00 PM - It must have been a pain to move your cellar; 900+ bottles. I saw that you have Hawley, and you already know Page Cellars. They are a bargain at the quality level they put out.

3/24/2015 4:14:00 PM - I have relocated from San Jose area. My picture is from Hawaii though. Born and raised in Tacoma area, but worked in Silicon Valley for almost a decade. Didn't get into wine until living in Cali, but now have been fully bitten by the bug. We should share a bottle sometime. I have plenty of Hawley to go around.

3/24/2015 2:54:00 PM - Hi San Diego Dago. I have recently relocated to the Seattle area. It looks like we have similar palates based on your tasting notes. Any must hit stops in the Seattle/Woodinville area?

6/9/2014 1:17:00 PM - Hey I'm from SD and am Italian too, haha.

12/16/2013 7:15:00 PM - Thanks for the heads up! Tapteil is the first wine club I joined; only 5% of their grapes are kept for themselves, and only sold at the RM tasting room or the wine club. Nice to know that my opinions are making the rounds...

12/16/2013 1:28:00 PM - Hello San Diego Dago. I know from reading your notes that you appreciate Red Moutnain wines. Barrister has released a stunner, comprised mostly of Tapteil fruit, in their 2010 Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. It is priced under $40, and therefore a ridiculous value. Cheers!
