The peppery nose will tell you right off the bat that this not a traditional California zinfandel. It is a nice changeup though. Once sipped, the palate is very acidic and peppery which are both balanced well with an underlying cedar and blackberry.

A beautiful sweet red cherry massages your nose, awakens your senses, and prepares them for a savory black pepper & red licorice/cherry palate. Pairs very well with any red meat but the tannins do indicate that this could use another 7 to 10 years after which I would assume at least a 2 point eating increase.

A beautiful nose of raspberry, red cherry, and acidity snaps your senses to attention. The palate balances a rich cedar, cigar, cherry, and blackberry with a tangy acidity. The finish is long with maybe a bit too much of tannins left coating your tongue. Definitely needs at least an hour to decant.
