2022 Sophie Evans Pinot Noir

Really nice wine and felt noticable levels higher than most of English reds. Definitely straight in there towards the top end.
Cranberry/red cherry nose plus something a touch mineraly, something a touch herbal. Some nice brett but very balanced. I wrote down "English barnyard, not French".
Unsurprisingly great acid. Equally unsurprisingly light palate. Really enjoyed this.

Withdrew one of the two cases of this from the cellar at the start of December. How glad that I am!
This really is exceptional, and I'm now torn between trying to hold on to it for longer to see how it develops and drinking now.

2022 Gentle Folk Vin De Sofa

Bought two bottles of this to have over Christmas at various points. The first with pizza on Christmas eve, and the second as a post lunch easy drinker on a day with friends.
A bit like a blackcurrant squash with hints of pepper, but ultimately I didn't find this enjoyable in the way I would a chilled gamay instead.
